About Pasta
Pasta is living his dream in the Florida Keys, where the laid back island lifestyle and rich marine beauty fuel his creativity.
Born in Italy and raised in a Brooklyn immigrant neighborhood, Pasta earned his nickname from his older brother, Nick and was often called "Pasta Fazul" for his this Italian accent. As a teenager, Pasta convinced his family to move to South Florida, drawn by its sun, sea and vibrant creative energy.
Fascinated by motorcycles and hot rods, he discovered airbrushing when a friend asked hi to pinstripe a van. That simple favor launched a thriving career, establishing him as one of the top airbrush artists of the 1970's. At the height of Miami's flashy, high-rolling era-later immortalized by Miami Vice - Pasta's custom-painted vehicles became highly sought after by South Florida's most colorful characters, from speedboat racers to nightclub owners.
In 2001, his career took a dramatic turn when Jamie Bunn of Bluewater Movements commmissioned him to create artwork for the Pompano Beach Mercury/SeaVee Saltwater Slam. His painting "Everybody's Gonna Be There" became the tournament's signature image, inspiring Pasta to transition from commercial work to fine art.
During his family trips to the Keys, he showcased his work through galleries, fishing tournaments, art shows, gradually becoming an integral part of the Island's creative scene.

By 2006 Pasta fully embraced his passion, selling his business and moving to Islammorada, where he opened his first gallery, Keys to Life. Five years later he relocated to the historic 1937 Red Cross House, launching Islamorada Art Gallery By Pasta.
Driven by a vision to unite artists and residents, Pasta founded the Morada Way Arts & Cultural District, serving as its first President. Today, the district's monthly art walk brings the community together to enjoy music, great food, locally brewed beer and of course art.
For Pasta, Islamorada evokes the charm of a small fishing villlage in his native Italy, where life moves at a slower pace, allowing him to savor the natural beauty that inspires his work. The saltwater game fish he paints are more than just subjects - they symbolize the ocean;s power and grace, woven into the very fabric of his life.
Sharing his love for art and the ocean with collectors who share his passion makes Pasta's journey as an artist truly rewarding.
